Welcome to Movement Belmont, a rock climbing gym located in the historic Belmont Theatre, offering a unique blend of vintage charm and modern climbing. With 19,000 square feet of climbing terrain, the gym features 11 permanent crack climbs, a 40-degree MoonBoard, a new spray wall, a cozy yoga studio, fully equipped fitness area, and a gear shop. Known for its welcoming community and retro vibe, Movement Belmont is a one-of-a-kind climbing experience in the Bay Area.

What’s included with a Movement Belmont membership?

When is Movement Belmont open, and what are the least busy times?
Movement Belmont is open Monday–Friday, 6am–11pm, Saturday, 8am-8pm and Sunday, 8am–6pm. The gym is usually quietest in the mornings and early afternoons on weekdays and afternoons and evenings on weekends.

Where is Movement Belmont located, and how do I get there (parking + transit)?
Movement Belmont is located at 100 El Camino Real and near the 68 & 397 El Camino & 43rd bus stop. Limited parking is available on 43rd Ave and in the parking lot behind CVS Pharmacy & Mollie Stones. Bike parking is also available.

What amenities does Movement Belmont have (bouldering, rope climbing, yoga/fitness, showers, etc.)?
Movement Belmont offers rope climbing with walls up to 45 ft., two bouldering areas, a spray wall, MoonBoard, and Kilter Board. Members also enjoy a fully stocked fitness space with weight and cardio equipment, unlimited yoga and fitness classes, and a well-equipped gear shop. You’ll also find locker rooms with showers and a dry sauna.

I’m new—how do I start? Do you offer an intro class or a trial membership?
We’ve got you covered! Whether you’re learning the ropes or starting with bouldering, our intro classes are the perfect way to start your climbing journey. We also offer a 15-day trial membership that gives you unlimited access to climbing, yoga, and fitness—plus free gear rentals, access to both intro bouldering and intro ropes classes, and a waived initiation fee if you join afterward.
