Welcome to Movement LIC – one of NYC’s original premier climbing facilities with over 23,000 square feet of climbing 45 ft. high, dynamic walls, and a wide range of climbing. You’ll love our massive lead climbing cave and indoor rendition of The Gunks’ infamous “Buddha” roof boulder. Our bouldering and rope climbs range from beginner to advanced and are reset weekly.

August 1st is Baby's First Class! 🧘 New to yoga? Curious to explore what our Harlem instructors offer? Swing by from 7-9pm for a sampling of classes (15-30 min) led by the incredible @_yogawithsabrina and Diana Henriquez. Try out different styles, meet the instructors, and find your flow.

2. Gowanus Community Night | every First Friday!

On August 1st from 6-9pm we're teaming up with @amigaswhoclimb for a night of community, climbing, and connection! All levels welcome—just bring your stoke. Local community partners including @beem.parkslope.ny will also be tabling.

3. LIC Member Night | every last Tuesday!

Come get to know our amazing community July 29 from 7-9pm! Join us, meet new climbing partners, and share beta. Not a member? If you sign up for a Monthly Membership during this event, we'll waive the initiation fee!

Watch two of NYC’s best routesetters go head-to-head and crafting boulders live in the ultimate showdown of creativity and skill. A panel of local judges will then score each climb on aesthetics, functionality, and pure fun—then it’s your turn to hop on and give them a try.

Join us Friday, July 11 at 8:30PM at LIC for the premiere of “Best Things in Life Are Free”, showcasing Will Moss’s first ascent of 5.14d R trad route at the Gunks — known as one of the hardest trad climbs in the world. 🧗

We’re stoked to bring this local film to the gym. @william.moss12 grew up climbing at LIC, alongside filmmakers (and longtime LIC members) Henry Fernberger and Gregory Berg making this a true hometown send. Stick around after the screening for a Q&A with climbers Will Moss and Russ Clune!
