The Bouldering Series is back for a second year! Test your strength at Sleeping Giant in Gowanus – our final event in the series!

The Phoenix


Second Saturday of every month | 5PM-7PM

Free for Members + Guests, financed by The Phoenix. The NYC chapter of The Phoenix hosts sober climbing events at least 3 times a month across the different Movement locations in NYC. The only requirement to attend is 48 hours of continuous sobriety. Friends and family are always welcome, please contact Grant Wheeler [email protected] with any questions!

Free for Members + $15/free rentals for Guests. If you’ve ever felt femme (even once!) and have wanted to climb, this space is for you!

BIPOC Meetup


Second Friday of every month | 7PM-9PM

Join us for Black, Indigenous, People of Color Climb Night at Gowanus to climb and be in community! These evenings are hosted by the BIPOC Climbing Collective, a community-based group organizing for more BIPOC and trans, gender-diverse, and queer spaces in climbing.

Laru Beya Collective

Meets on recurring Sundays.

The Laru Beya Collective is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering the historically excluded youth of Far Rockaway through mentor-led surfing, rock climbing, and other outdoor activities. Our goal is to develop our mentees into well-rounded, confident, and environmentally conscious adults.
