  • Registration

    • Registration is limited to Members Only
    • All teams will be 3 members total. No more, no less
      • There are no separate gender divisions. This is a fully coed league 🧍‍♂️🧍‍♀️🧍
      • All team members should climb in the same category:
        • V0-V3: Beginner
        • V4-V6: Intermediate
        • V7+: Advanced
        • Categories are self-assessed.
          • As an example, if you are regularly completing V3s but have only sent one V4, we would probably suggest you sign up for the beginner category. But if you are regularly flashing V4s, you would best fit into the intermediate category.
    • League Nights will be double points; however, participants can climb and log climbs anytime during the week outside of League Nights for standard points.
  • Scoring

    Scoring Basics:

    • Every boulder is worth a certain number of points.
      • Point Values are dependent on grade:
        • V1 = 100 pts
        • V2 = 200 pts
        • V3 = 300 pts
      • The only exception is climbs below V1:
        • VIntro = 25 pts
        • V0 = 50 pts
    • All team members individually record their sends in KAYA
      • Climbs are worth 2x during Wednesday, League Nights (5-10PM). All other days, climbs are worth 1x points
      • Boulders of all grades are worth points for your team. You are not required to only climb boulders within your category’s grade range. The categories are guidelines to ensure folks who are of relative experience/ability are competing against each other.
    • More scoring rules:
      • Climbs cannot be repeated for repeat points. You only get the points once.
      • The number of attempts do not affect your score. You have an unlimited amount of attempts.
      • There is no bonus for flashing. Take your time!

  • how do teams work?

Do I have to be on a team?

    • Yes!

What if I have a team?

    • If you have a team, that’s great! When booking you can either answer the question “Are you looking to: Create a team, Join a team, or Join a a Free Agent?” by choosing: Create a team or Join a team.

    • Create or Join: Make sure you enter the same team name for you and your other two members

    What if I don’t have a team?

    • The gym will assign any free agents to teams with less than three members.

    • NOTE: There is not a way to denote if a team is “holding a slot” for someone. When registering, please do your best to sign up all members at the same time.

Can you change level throughout the league?

    • No

Does everyone in your team have to be the same level?

    • Yes, because each climbs points are associated with the V-Scale level. (e.g. V1 = 100, V9 = 900). If you had two beginners and an advanced competitor against three beginners, you’re looking at a point disparity of up to 1000 points per climb!

  • what can I expect from the routesetting?

Setting will not change in style. It will continue to be standard bouldering setting without any specific comp-style sets.
