- Freezes:
- Removed the 3 month per calendar year limit
- Freeze must last 1-month minimum effective April 1
- Still $10/month/ member freeze fee
- As of 5-1-24 we are no longer offering waived freeze fees for medical reasons. If you have a medical situation, please email us at [email protected] for us to assist you.
- Request Deadline policy:
- Requests must be submitted by the 25th – effective March to start for April billing
- Members now have access to Movement locations across the nation!

Do I have to sign a new participant agreement?
- Yes, please complete a new participant agreement via The Cliffs Website before your next visit. Do not fill out a participant agreement on Movement’s website.

Will I be allowed access to all Movement locations and when does this start?
Yes!
Members now have access to Movement locations across the nation! All memberships now grant access to all locations; memberships are based on facility specific pricing – dues are set based on sign up location and where you frequent the most*
*Off-Peak members excluded – these remain single facility access with the late entry + remote visit fees still in effect at all Movement locations

Need to submit a membership change request?
Please submit membership requests via the Movement website. Navigate to the main Movement page and use the Account Changes link to access.

What’s happening with my membership perks?
Your membership perks include guest passes, retail and class discounts, unlimited group yoga and fitness classes – and access to every Movement across the country! See your gym’s main membership and passes page for more info on gym specific membership perks.

Will business hours be changing?
Business hours will remain the same!

Will I need to redo my top rope or lead check?
No. Movement will be honoring the belay status of anyone with a permanent belay card issued by The Cliffs.

I have unused value on a gift card – are those still valid?
Yes, you can use them at any Movement location across the nation.

Should I expect any changes in the setting style or frequency at any gym?
At the outset, we will not be changing anything related to routesetting product or offering. We want to keep what makes The Cliffs routesetting program awesome!

What happens to events?
You should expect events to run as planned, including the annual bouldering series!

Guest Passes: Can I use my guest passes at other Movement locations?
Yes! You can use your guest passes at all Movement locations.

Do I need to switch scan tags?
We do have the new Movement scantags at the front desk. Switching to them is optional for existing Cliffs members!
Movement Member FAQ

Will I be allowed access to all The Cliffs locations and when does this start?
Yes! Starting Monday, December 11th Movement members will have access to all gyms — in New York City and Philadelphia metro areas and across the nation! Movement members will need to fill out a new participant agreement at The Cliffs locations.

Will I need to redo my top rope or lead check to climb at the The Cliffs gyms?
No need to update your top rope or lead climb tags—they’ll work at all roped gyms. Lead belay tags will need to be updated because The Cliffs gyms require the use of an Assisted Braking Device (ABD) to lead belay. Callowhill, Gowanus, LIC and Valhalla also have auto belays and you’ll need to complete an orientation and get an updated harness tag to use them.

Guest Passes: Can I use my guest passes there?
Yes! You can use your guest passes at all Movement locations.

Punches: Can I use my 7-punch pass there?
Yes! Our systems are fully connected so you can use your punches at all Movement locations.
