- Saturday, September 14 @ Grapevine
how does it work?
There will be two waves of competition – pick the time slot that you want to compete in!
- Wave 1: 2pm-5pm (Check-in 1pm)
- Wave 2: 6pm – 9pm (Check-in 5pm)
There are 3 hours in each wave for competitors to climb and log sends into KAYA. Here’s the rule breakdown:
- You’ll be able to attempt as many routes as you want as many times as you want.
- Each route will have a point value to it based on difficulty.
- Your top 3 sends count as your total score. There will be no flash bonus.
- This means completing the route from the ground up, no takes or falls.
- If you are lead climbing you must clip every clip and both anchors. Anchors must be clipped from last hold.
- When top rope climbing one hand controlled on the finish hold is a send.
- Honor system, so please no cheating!
- We will be using the KAYA app, so make sure you have it installed and set-up before the competition.
- You must be 13 years old or older to compete.
- JCCA Youth Competitors should not sign up for this competition. Click here for the JCCA sign-up link.
Competitor tickets include a competition t-shirt*, drinks during finals (non alcoholic and alcoholic / ID must be presented), and raffle tickets for the chance to win prizes! Spectating passes are free all day!
We will be taking day-of walk-in competitors for all categories. However, if you plan to compete in Open you MUST sign-up prior to day-of the competition if you want to be eligible to compete in Finals!
We’ll wrap up the day with a super exciting finals round for our Open category! Climbing will start at ~9:30pm – be there to cheer on some of the top climbers in DFW!
