Movement Hampden features more than 10,000 square feet of bouldering terrain as well as a yoga studio and dedicated fitness areas. We’re honored to be part of Hampden’s vibrant neighborhood in the Union Collective, a vibrant retail and community space, perfect for post-climbing gatherings. But what makes us most unique is our knowledgeable and energetic staff who not only are dedicated to ensuring all guests have an amazing experience, but also are passionate about building community inside and outside of the gym.

When is Movement Hampden open, and what are the least busy times?
Movement Hampden is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 10pm, Saturday from 8am to 8pm, and Sunday from 8am to 6pm. The gym is usually quietest on weekday mornings and early afternoons, while mid-day on weekends tends to be less busy than evenings.

Movement Hampden is located at 3350 Clipper Mill Road in Baltimore, Maryland, right in the heart of the Hampden neighborhood. The gym is easy to reach by car and offers nearby parking, and it’s also accessible via local bus routes for those using public transit.

Movement Hampden is a bouldering-focused gym with expansive terrain designed for all experience levels, from first-time climbers to seasoned regulars. The gym also offers unlimited yoga and fitness classes, a fully equipped strength and conditioning area, locker rooms with showers, and an on-site gear shop with member discounts. Community events, clinics, and social meetups are hosted regularly to help climbers connect.

I’m new—how do I start? Do you offer an intro class or a trial membership?
We’ve got you covered! Whether you’re learning the ropes or starting with bouldering, our intro classes are the perfect way to start your climbing journey. We also offer a 15-day trial membership that gives you unlimited access to climbing, yoga, and fitness—plus free gear rentals, access to both intro bouldering and intro ropes classes, and a waived initiation fee if you join afterward.
