Meet your Movement Fishtown Leadership Team 👋
We asked each of them a few questions so you can get to know the faces bringing our newest Philly gym to life.
🔹Bob - Gym Director
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I am a Temple alum, so I still have a ton of close friends in the city who I get together with. I am a huge Philly sports fan, so I spend a lot of time going to games or meeting up with friends to watch in the city. I also play hockey 1-2 times per week in a hockey league in South Philly that I’ve been a part of for 13 years.
🔹Hud - Front Desk Manager
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Usually something outside like climbing, running, or hiking. If not that, discovering new music & art, eating good food, or watching movies or sports.
🔹Mo - Youth Program Manager
Q: When you think about your role as a coach, what kind of impact do you want to have on your athletes?
Throughout my time as a coach, I have witnessed how climbing offers remarkable growth opportunities for children, not only through the benefits of tackling a physical challenge, but also through the strengthening of social and emotional skills. I aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment in which youth climbers can strengthen their self-efficacy and build lasting skills, like problem solving, resilience, and teamwork. As a coach, I hope to support climbers of all ages and abilities to challenge themselves both mentally and physically, while also having fun!
🔹Lee - Climbing Program Manager
Q: Did you choose climbing or did it choose you?
Hard to say. All I know is climbing was terrifying to me, until one day in the awe of Yosemite Valley, I decided to be brave. Since then, climbing has been my greatest teacher, my favorite pastime, and the most rewarding profession I could imagine.
