competitive team programs

Our team programs foster a love of climbing and the mental challenges climbing can present. We focus on advanced technical skills and increased conditioning fueled by the support of fellow team members and friends.

Development Team

Development Team is an intensive program that aims to prepare youth athletes for the competitive experience within the USA-Climbing competitive circuit. A level of commitment, eagerness for growth, and desire to be a supportive member of the community is expected within the

Development Team program.  
Youth athletes will practice 2-days per week, 2-hours each practice. Athletes are not expected to compete in USA-Climbing sanctioned events. 


Price: $315 per month

Includes:

  • 2-hour team practice, 2 days a week
  • Required gear
  • Facility membership
  • Team t-shirt

Practice info:

  • Ages 6-12: Tuesdays + Thursdays, 4:30-6:30pm
  • Ages 12-16: Mondays + Wednesdays, 4:30-6:30pm

Competitive Team

Competitive Team is an intensive program that aims to support youth athletes within the USA-Climbing competitive circuit. Members of the Movement Competitive Team show a high degree of camaraderie, an eagerness for growth, and an unrelenting passion for the sport of competitive climbing.  
 
Youth Athletes will practice 2 days or 3 days each week depending on their level. All athletes must commit to a full year (September-May) and compete in Bouldering and TR/Lead Seasons. Athletes who qualify for Nationals should expect to continue through the end of July. 

  • Ages 7-18
  • Youth D/C |  $315 (billed monthly) 
  • Youth B / A / Jr |  $450 (billed monthly)

Team Philosophy

Head Coach Hann Smiley’s  philosophy on coaching and mentoring is a holistic one that considers the health and wellness of youth climbers above all else. Their goal as a coach is to help youth climbers develop sustainable practices both physically and mentally that will support them in their climbing journeys as they grow through our program and beyond.
