Located just outside Clear Creek Canyon and a stones throw from the iconic cliffs of Eldorado Canyon, Movement Golden was built to inspire all climbers. It’s two-stories high and has private spaces for introductory classes as well as expert terrain including an overhanging arch and a top out boulder. And we know the Golden community loves to cross-train so we honor this lifestyle with well-stocked fitness areas, campus and system boards, and a yoga studio with views of Lookout Mountain.

What else is there to say but a big THANK YOU!
This past weekend we had the amazing opportunity to partner with @edelrid_sport and @unitedrocks2021 as the one and only Tommy Caldwell shared his journey raising an adventurous family. We learned about @tommycaldwell’s climbing career, how the outdoors can shape children’s lives, and how he balances pro-climbing with fatherhood.
The evening was packed with kids getting on the wall with the help of our belayers and a silent auction benefiting United Rocks. A special thank you to everyone who came out in support! We’re stoked to champion the next generation of climbers and their families 🙌

Let’s give it up for @boulderclimbingcommunity 👏📣
BCC works to protect climbing areas in the Front Range and beyond. In their 15 years as an organization, they’ve replaced thousands of bolts, maintained hundreds miles of trails, and logged 70,000 (!!) volunteer hours. We’re proud to support and partner with them!
BCC volunteers will be tabling at our gyms all week long. Stop by, say hi, and learn more about how you can get involved!

Say hey to your Golden head setter 👋 Mike has been a staple of our community for years, and we’re excited for you to meet him! Read below to learn more about him and his setting career 👇
1.) How did you begin setting?
I started climbing in 2008 in college and had an immediate interest in how the climbs were created and designed. Eventually pestering the Gym Manager enough to actually give me a setting position, I never looked back.
2.) Have you had any memorable career highlights or routes you’ve set?
A few years ago, my friend Ryan G. and I established a 40m mixed trad route on Mt. Blue Sky called Dear Sergio, rated 5.13-. The climb is long, technical, and mentally challenging. It took us an entire season to finish, during which we spent countless summer days and nights cleaning and climbing. I fondly remember relaxing with a cold beer and enjoying the Denver skyline from 13,000 feet. When Ryan finally sent the route, he was surrounded by clouds, and I couldn’t see him. As he tackled the upper run-out slab, it even started to snow—what an epic moment!
3.) Fav crag snack? (the most important question)
Gummy bears (Sprout’s 12 flavor to be exact)

Recently, we welcomed @usaclimbing Speed Coach, Laurel Melton, and members of the speed climbing team to Movement Englewood!
These athletes (peep @nat.climbss 💨) stopped by to get some runs in on our speed wall between the IFSC Speed World Cup in Denver and the North American Cup in Vail. We learned how important it is to stay sharp between comps. Athletes traveling from sea level have a unique challenge: adjusting to the Colorado altitude. The key? Time, practicing runs at elevation, and staying hydrated 💧
Thanks for stopping by! 🙌

we love our gyms and all their quirks ✨ did we miss anything? ...
meet one of our team members Lacey! 👋 recently we got the chance to ask Lacey about her climbing journey 👇
“I’ve been climbing for a year and a half now, and I have been at Movement for ~1 year of that. I took Intro to Bouldering at Baker with a friend and got hooked from there!
I have a lot of favorite gym climbs, but the climb I’ll call out is from a recent outdoor trip to High Wire crag in Clear Creek. It was my first lead climb ever! It was a chill 5.7 dihedral with basically a boulder problem to get to the first bolt (someone clipped that for me since it would’ve been ~15ft fall).
It’s okay for progress to be slow. Strength, technique, knowledge of the sport, and confidence comes with time and consistency. To someone who is just started to climb, first, welcome to your newest obsession - you’re going to have so much fun! Prepare for the long game because it’s worth it.”

Happy International Day of Yoga! 🧘 We want to take a moment to recognize all of our yoga instructors who make our classes the best of the best 🫶
If you`ve been down to Baker recently, you may have noticed one of our instructors is also the gym director! Yoga has been a part of Kaileigh`s life since the beginning, and of course we had to ask about her journey.
"I started practicing yoga with my mom at 8 years old at a power vinyasa studio in Littleton. I kept practicing power vinyasa and yin until I was 15 and then got really into Hot Yoga. I completed my first teaching training at 17 for Power Vinyasa and my second 200 hour right before my 18th birthday for Hot Yoga and Hot Power Fusion. I started teaching at 18 years old and haven`t stopped. I have a 300 hour training and am E-RYT 200, RYT 500 hour certified. I`ve taught thousands of classes, between short intensives and full teaching trainings have taught over a hundred trainings and am certified to teach many different styles of yoga including Yin, Power, Hot Power Fusion, Hot Yoga, & fitness classes. I`ve guest taught in New York and Ashville and have taught kids to seniors.
Yoga has benefitted me physically, mentally, and emotionally through the years. It`s changed as I`ve needed it, always fluctuating to meet me where I am at. "
Make sure to check out her Power Flow Class on Fridays at 4:30 pm and a full calendar of our classes at the link in bio! 🔗

Our 2025 Pride shirts are here, illustrated by DMV-based artist Helena Wu! 🌈 We’re donating a portion of the proceeds from every shirt sold in June to one of our favorite LGBTQIA+ community organizations @rm.equality !
Rocky Mountain Equality works collaboratively to ensure LGBTQ+ people, families, and communities thrive by providing services, advocacy, events, and much more.
About the artist: Helena is a Rockville, Maryland-based freelance illustrator whose work features dreamy colors and nature-inspired vibes across video games, product design, and local art markets throughout the DMV region. She actively engages with the local art scene, frequently tabling at markets throughout Baltimore and the DMV area. Helena’s been climbing since 2016 as a boulderer at heart, though she’ll always offer to clean up sport anchors just to spend a little longer on the wall. She previously worked on the Movement Rockville Murals in 2023, always trying to merge her artistic and climbing hobbies together. This year, she was given the opportunity to create a fun, dynamic graphic to showcase the vibrancy of the queer climbing community for this year’s Pride design, reflecting her love for finding new ways to subtly celebrate queer identity and explore gender expression. 🌈
